Retail Abandonment
Commissioned by Het Financieele Dagblad, Retail Abandonment documents the growing vacancy of Dutch city centres following the pandemic. Empty windows, blocked sightlines and inactive interiors are photographed through reflections and layered surfaces, making economic change visible within the everyday street. The approach is documentary but subjective, using obstruction and atmosphere to register the slow disappearance of physical retail.
